Over time, your glass window can be permeated of certain contaminants like hard minerals, oxidation, sea spray, oxidation, and overspray. Once your window is covered with dust and debris, the sediments can block the natural sunlight. But if you always make it a point to clean your windows, you can easily prevent degradation.

For your outdoor windowsills, you can apply clear floor wax or paste wax to protect it from moisture and dirt.

Your window screens also should be kept clean. Simply lay the window screen over a fence or wall and rinse it using a hose. The dirt can be removed easily. Mix water and dish detergent and use this solution to scrub the remaining dirt off the window screen. Use a brush for this task.
